Citiz: A Convenient Solution for Car Sharing in France
Citiz offers a seamless and accessible car-sharing service across France, ideal for those seeking flexibility without the hassle of ownership.
The Citiz network cars are available in around a hundred cities in France, with 24/7 self-service access. Once registered at an agency or through the Citiz website, you can reserve a vehicle using the Citiz mobile app, either in advance or last minute, for an hour, a day, or longer.
- The Citiz fleet consists of several categories, allowing you to choose according to your needs: a compact car for short trips, a versatile vehicle for business appointments, a family car for weekend getaways.
- Citiz cars are accessible at designated locations or "Citiz stations" (turquoise icons on the app) where you simply return the vehicle at the end of your rental. Yea! cars, available in Bordeaux, Grenoble, Lyon, Strasbourg, and Toulouse (red icons on the app), do not require a set return time and can be parked in any permitted street spot within a large designated area shown on the app.
- Depending on the selected plan, with or without a subscription, Citiz cars are available starting from €2 per hour or €20 per day plus €0.37 per kilometer, including fuel (prices all taxes included as of 09/01/2018 for a compact car in category S). Prices are lower for longer durations and distances (check rates on your city's Citiz website).
The app allows Citiz customers to select their local Citiz service, view car-sharing stations and available vehicles in real-time. Reservations can be made through the interactive map or through multi-criteria search and can be modified or canceled via the app. Door opening can also be done with a simple button press within the app. Other features such as fare simulator, reservation history, direct contact with the agency, or 24/7 support make car-sharing easier for users.
Citiz is a national cooperative that has been bringing together citizen initiatives of shared cars in France since 2002. Today the Citiz network continues to develop a user-centric service and promotes sustainable mobility accessible to all.
